After a typical cattle car flight with Delta we arrived in Istanbul this morning.  The weather is excellent.  We freshened up a bit and rested then went to my favorite antiquity in Istanbul - the Aya Sofia.  After that we walked to the Spice Market and then took ferries across to Uskudar on the Asian side and back again to Besiktas.  Dinner was at a fish restaurant close to the hotel (including a bottle of Turkish white wine) then we closed the evening by playing pool at an American Sports Bar nearby at the Renaissance Hotel (I beat Randy) while baseball was on TV!  Some photos are above.
